“Have you heard the story of the Johnstone twins?”
No? Well this week is your chance to see an outstanding production of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers at The Lyceum in Crewe.
This is a high quality production with fantastic sound and a great cast.
Maureen Nolan poured her heart and soul into playing ‘Mrs Johnstone’, and the opening night audience loved her for it.
Kristopher Harding had a strong and foreboding presence as the ‘Narrator’, and defiantly held the attention of the audience.
For me, the best performer on the evening was Sean Jones who played ‘Mickey’.
Jones demonstrated outstanding talent during the entire show.
From portraying a fun loving 7 year old boy, to the grown up ‘Mickey’ in a harrowing and emotional prison scene.
The cast received a well deserved standing ovation from the audience, who only let them leave the stage after three encore’s.
Good theatre production takes the audience away from their normal existence and worries.
Great theatre production captures the audience and makes them want more. Blood Brothers achieved this.
The show runs all week up to and including Saturday.
