Nantwich Town assistant manager Phil Eastwood has left the club, citing personal reasons.
Eastwood joined the club in the summer of 2013 as first team coach when Danny Johnson took over as manager at the Weaver Stadium.
He was promoted to assistant manager in the pre-season of 2014, following player-assistant manager Earl Davies’ departure.
Johnson said: “Unfortunately, the game against Curzon was Phil Eastwood’s last game as assistant manager at the football club.
“Phil has three young children and his youngest daughter is a very talented tennis player.
“Cutting a long story short, Phil has had lengthy discussions with his daughter’s tennis coaches and he now needs to find more time to dedicate to helping her develop as a tennis player.
“I am obviously disappointed to see Phil leave the club but he goes with my best wishes and I am sure everyone connected with the club will wish him well for the future.
“My search for an assistant is underway but for the time being I will be very ably supported by Nigel Deeley who joined the club a couple of weeks ago.”
Nantwich Town would like to thank Phil for his work with the club and wish him all the best for the future.
