Willaston pupils with breakfast before SATs exams

Nantwich pupils have been given a helping hand during their SATs exams this week – by a local supermarket.

Rachel Lewis, community champion at Nantwich’s Morrisons store, has been visiting primary schools to give out free breakfasts.

She has already visited Pear Tree Primary in Stapeley and Willaston Primary to donate a morning meal.

The store has teamed up with school staff to make sure all pupils have a hearty breakfast before sitting their year 6 exams.

“Hopefully a good breakfast will give the kids a head start for their exams!” said Rachel, who organises all charity bag packs and collections in the Nantwich supermarket.

“I’ve had a very busy morning helping some of the school children of Nantwich have a head start on their exams.”

Rachel delivered a box of breakfast items to Pear Tree school first, before fighting her way through the traffic to Willaston Primary School with another box.

“At Willaston I was asked to give a hand making breakfast for the children,” added Rachel (pictured, below)

“It was lovely to see them all tucking in to toast, bananas and juice. Giving them a boost of brain power for their exams!”
