Joshua Hancock, Nantwich Town, scored against Ilkeston

Free-scoring Nantwich Town blasted six past Grantham as they marched to another Evo-Stik Premier League victory.

The Dabbers hit five second-half goals as they came back from 2-1 down at the break.

And the victory moves them up to third in the league, with the highest goals tally of 29 in nine games.

Nantwich Town took the lead at the Weaver Stadium in the 20th minute when former Crewe Alex star Steve Jones cut inside and lashed home.

But they were pegged back a minute later when Rhys Lewis scored for the visitors from a corner after a fumble by Dabbers keeper Terry Smith.

And then Grantham took a surprise lead when Lee Shaw beat Mat Bailey and ran through to fire past Smith for 2-1.

But an inspired half-time talk saw Phil Parkinson’s men produce a stunning second-half performance.

Matty Kosylo started it with the equaliser on 47 minutes as he fired in low from the edge of the box.

On the hour, Kosylo was brought down on the edge of the box and Jones stepped up to lash the free-kick home and make it 3-2.

And just 60 seconds later, Nantwich made it 4-2 when Kosylo again caused problems, and his pass set Joshua Hancock (pictured) away to score.

The game was made safe on 76 minutes when Nantwich scored a brilliant team goal.

Liam Shotton combined brilliantly with Kosylo and Lewis Short, before Shotton ran on to fire home.

In the final minute, Hancock grabbed his second as he converted a fine square pass by Short in the box.

Nantwich face a tough midweek test when they travel to face sixth placed Barwell on Tuesday (September 22)
