Nantwich Town sit at the top of the Evo-Stik Premier League after a thumping 4-0 away win at Barwell.
The Dabbers fine start to the 2015-16 season continued with a near flawless display at a top-six side, with Liam Shotton (pictured) firing a hat-trick.
Both sides created chances in the first period with defences finishing on top to make it goalless at the break.
But Phi Parkinson’s men took control in the second half as soon as Joshua Gordon fired them into the lead in the 50th minute.
Then it became the Liam Shotton show, as the former Leek Town man notched a 17-minute hat-trick.
Darren Thornton set up his first on 73 minutes, his barn-storming run down the flank and cut back presented it on a plate for Shotton to tap home.
Then in the 88th minute, Matty Kosylo picked up the ball in his own half, weaved his through the defence before slotting it to Shotton to score.
And his completed his hat-trick in the 92nd minute by neatly steering in Elliot Osbourne’s cross as Barwell’s defence crumbled.
Nantwich have now scored 33 goals in 10 league games, and they top the league on 20 points just ahead of Darlington and Blyth Spartans.
The Dabbers travel to play Colwyn Bay this Saturday September 26, in a fixture brought forward after both clubs were knocked out of the FA Cup qualifying round.
