Nantwich and Crewe shoppers are being warned by police about fraudsters targeting people at Grand Junction Retail Park.
A woman in her 50s had her card stolen and cash taken from her account in one incident on December 2.
PC Anna Clark said: “We have had other reports of the same thing happening at supermarkets in Crewe last month and have been urging shoppers to be vigilant.
“In this case, the offender had watched the victim keying her pin in at the till.
“As the victim was putting her shopping away a man and a woman distracted her by asking her for directions to a maternity unit.
“The couple then left the car park and withdrew cash from her account at a nearby cashpoint.”
The first man is described as stocky, with shaven or balding hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark trousers.
The second man is 6ft 1in, black hair which was short and slicked back.
He had a moustache and was stocky, wearing a black jacket and jeans.
The woman is 5ft 3in, skinny build, with grey hair tied back in a ponytail. She had a small bruise on her cheek bone and was wearing a blue parka coat.
PC Jones said: “We are looking into the offences and would urge anyone with information to contact police on 101.
“I would also urge anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it.”

Shoppers are advised to keep pin numbers secret at tills or cash machines, keep bags safe and zipped up, and don’t leave bags unattended when putting shopping away.
