The traditional Nantwich Rotary Christmas Sleigh with Santa aboard helped to raise more than £4,000.
And a cheque for £700 of that has just been donated to Nantwich Museum by Rotary Club of Nantwich President, Rod Stokes.
Museum manager Denise Courcoux said: “We are very grateful to the Rotary Club for their extremely generous donation.
“The money will kick-start our 12-month project to produce a series of leaflets covering various periods of the town’s history.
“In addition, some of the money will go towards our continuing education programme.”
Mr Stokes, President of Nantwich Rotary, said: “Santa and the Rotary float are eagerly anticipated at Christmas time and our community always gives generously.
“As a result of our town’s generosity, we are able to support both our local community and local charities such as the Nantwich Museum.”
