Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in Nantwich town centre in the early hours of today (June 13).
A number of police cordons are in place around the town, including Mill Island, while officers investigate.
Officers were on the scene close to the River Weaver from around 5am today.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing and as a result of the investigation a number of police cordons are currently in place in Nantwich town centre.
“Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 75 of 13/6/16.”
