A motorcyclist died after a collision on the A49 Tarporley Road near Whitchurch.
Cheshire Police say the incident happened last night (July 14) at 6.45pm at Willeymoor.
The collision involved a green Volvo articulated HGV and a red Yamaha motorcycle.
The HGV was travelling north towards Tarporley, and the motorcycle was travelling south towards Whitchurch.
The 47-year-old motorcyclist, from the Wirral, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed, although formal identification has yet to take place.
