A Nantwich health and wellbeing hub hosted a ‘Spa Day of the Mind’ in bid to combat stress.
The event, organised by ctchealthcare, introduced visitors to meditation, yoga and mind resilience practitioners at the company’s base on Beam Heath business park.
The hub was launched to offer South Cheshire people access to therapies caring for the mind, body and soul.
Company spokeswoman Helen Lowe said: “Although we mainly offer physiotherapy services, we firmly believe mental and physical health go hand in hand.
“Modern living creates all manner of stresses and strains so we opened our rehabilitation studio as a health and wellbeing hub which encourages people to take time out.
“Our Spa Day of the Mind was part of our commitment to treating the whole person and preventing health problems.
“It offered techniques to combat stress and was such a success, we will stage another event in May.”
Nantwich-based mind coach Tianne Croshaw discussed the biology of stress and offered advice on how to increase resilience.
Wellbeing coach Marie Arrowsmith offered relaxation techniques while Adam Pavey led meditation and Rod Beaumont staged a yoga session.
Tianne said: “Primarily the event was staged to share the message with busy people that you can reduce your own stress levels and learn tools and techniques to be more relaxed and resilient.
“We were thrilled at the feedback, with everyone saying they would return and recommend to a friend.”
The hub also offers ante-natal pilates and complementary therapies such as reflexology, Reiki and hypnotherapy.
A ‘Relax, Release & Re-energise Day’ will be staged on May 20 from 11am to 4pm.
