The 35th annual South Cheshire Militaire universal model show proved a big pull for hundreds of visitors at Malbank School & Sixth Form College in Nantwich, writes Jonathan White.
The show, organised by the South Cheshire Military Modelling Club, included an amazing array of models and displays.
It ranged from scale-model Army, Navy and Air Force club displays; scale-model boat displays; scale-model railway club displays and demonstrations; remote-control tank, truck and car demonstrations.
There was also military weaponry displays, a military badge display, a scale-model competition with different classes, war games demonstrations, a LEGO display, movie and science fiction figure displays, numerous trade stalls, real military vehicles and various people in costume from the military, movies and sci-fi.
Star Wars fans were treated to an appearance by the ‘99th Garrison’ costume group with a ‘life-size’ R2-D2 droid.
And the ‘501st Legion – Vader’s Fist’ costume group, which included participants dressed as Darth Vader, Palpatine, Stormtroopers, Death troopers, TIE pilots, X-Wing pilots, and Chewbacca.
