Vic and Bob’s TV comedy sidekick Angelos is among a top bill of funnymen to perform at the final Very Best in Stand-Up in Nantwich before the summer break.
Angelos Epithemiou shot to fame when accompanying Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer on their hit BBC show Shooting Stars.
Since that show ended, Angelos went back to his burger van for a short while but is now back on the road and about to make his Nantwich Civic Hall debut on Friday June 1.
The first act on the night will be Adam Rowe, who first got on stage in 2010.
A little over a year later he was named Liverpool Comedian of the Year, quit his bar job and hasn’t looked back.
After being asked to host Big Value Showcase at The Edinburgh Fringe in 2014, Adam is now in demand to play all of the UK’s biggest comedy clubs and has established himself as one of the most exciting young comics of his generation.
And headline act is Larry Dean, pictured below.
Since being crowned ‘Scottish Comedian Of The Year’ at only 23, Glaswegian comedian Dean has performed at high profile shows worldwide.
He has supported Eddie Izzard and Stephen K Amos on tour, and has appeared on BBC’s Best Of Edinburgh Festival 2014.
His 2015 debut Edinburgh Fringe show Out Now! received both widespread critical acclaim and a nomination for the Foster’s Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.
He took the show to London for a run of packed-out performances at the Soho Theatre, and then to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival where he was one of the standout performers on the Allstars Supershow Opening Night Gala.
In 2016, Dean returned to Edinburgh with his new show Farcissist, for which he won the Amused Moose Comedy Award for Best Show.
Fandan, Larry’s most recent show, enjoyed a sold-out run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe and was one of the British Comedy Guide’s Top 10 Best Reviewed Shows this year.
Compere on June 1 is Dave Williams, a top quality circuit comedian whose crisp one-liners and surreal nonsense have earned him headline slots at some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy clubs.
He has performed in several countries, headlining the Sydney Comedy Store and at clubs in Melbourne and Brisbane.
He has also played in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
The show takes place on Friday June 1 and tickets are on sale now priced at £10 from Nantwich Civic Hall or from www.civiccomedy.co.uk
Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
