A crash closed the A51 road at Doddington Lake near Nantwich earlier today (June 23).
Emergency services were at the scene of the accident which happened near Bridgemere at around 7.30am today.
The incident involved two vehicles, with fire crews, paramedics and police all sent to the scene.
Fire crews from Nantwich and Crewe had to cut four people free, and one person was taken to hospital for further treatment.
The busy road was closed in both directions for around two hours.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “On arrival crews, found that there were four people trapped in the vehicles.
“Crews used specialist hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualties and one person was taken to hospital.
“None of the casualties are believed to have sustained any serious injuries.”
A Cheshire Police spokesperson added: “At 7:27 on Sunday 24 June officers were called to reports of a collision on the A51 London Road in Doddington.
“The incident involved two vehicles, a silver Vauxhall Zafira and grey Mazda 5.
“Two women were taken to hospital as a result of the collision, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.
“The road was closed from 7.30am to 11.30am while emergency services dealt with the incident.”

Doubt it, there are drivers out there that think they are living in a video game, you see it everywhere, even in town centres.
No possibility on that road to overtake safely, more cameras are needed.
There’s plenty of room to overtake but not on that corner, there was water on that stretch but I would bet it was distracted driving looking at phone or similar.
That picture is an absolute disgrace.
How disrespectful and rude it is to put that on here. Had someone have died and that image is how they found out would be disgusting.

That is the reality of what car accidents look like. Perhaps if people see what can happen they may think about driving a little more carefully.
