Two men have been arrested after police probed an alleged ‘rogue trader’ incident in Nantwich.
The incident happened at an address in the Barony Park area after a home owner alerted the authorities when he become concerned they were being scammed.
Nantwich Police said officers attended the property and following initial inquiries, two men were arrested.
PCSO Phil Barber said: “If you think you may have been a victim of a doorstep crime or know someone who may have been, email [email protected] so this can be looked into.
“We have door signs that ask cold callers not to attend your property. This can act as a deterrent, so if you would like one of these, please email your address and I will ensure you get one.”
Cheshire Police have confirmed two men have been charged in connection with the incident.
Dolphus Gaskin, 24, of Tanhouse Lane, Widnes, has been charged with seven counts of fraud by false representation and one count of possession of a class b drug (cannabis).
