A Nantwich family is to stage an 80s Fancy Dress Night at Crewe Alexandra’s Stadium to help raise funds for two local charities.
Steph Marvell, her sister Sophie and cousin Jessica Youle are organising the event in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association (Cheshire Branch) and St Lukes Hospice.
Steph said: “Our grandad fought hard against Motor Neurone Disease for around 15 years but always maintained a positive attitude, thanks to the support of the charities, family and friends.
“We wanted to organise another event to raise money for the charities that helped him and his wife during his illness, so they can continue to help other people in similar situations.”
Steph and her family held a similar event in March 2015 and raised an amazing £3,500 between the two charities.
“It was a very enjoyable night,” added Steph, “so we wanted to repeat it so come along and have some 80s fun!”
The 80s Fancy Dress Night will be held at Crewe Alexandra Football Club in the Carlsberg Lounge on Saturday March 30 at 7.30pm to 12am.
Tickets are currently on sale via www.eticketing.co.uk/crewealex at £15.
There will be a buffet, disco, raffle and a prize for the best outfit.
