cronkinson farm pub

A family pub in Nantwich is to close for a major £200,000 refurbishment.

The Cronkinson Farm pub in Stapeley will close on March 4 for 16 days, re-opening on March 20.

Landlord Joe Evoy has helped turn the pub around, achieving a 5-star hygiene rating just four months after it received a damning 1-star report by environmental health inspectors.

Now Joe is launching a recruitment drive for new, trained and passionate staff to help run the pub after its refurbishment by owners, Marston’s Pubs.

The pub will be turned into a new Heritage community pub under the Marston’s banner.

This will include a new menu, stone-baked pizza oven, new range of deals and drinks, among others.

Joe said: “There’s a new menu, no longer 241. A single price point. Amazing drinks selection at value price. Poker teams. Darts, pool and more.

“There will be a new pizza deck out front, a new back bar, new flooring through out. Better ale selection. Daily deals.

“This pub is great. It has the potential of great things.

“Just by looking at the Facebook reviews and Trip Advisors over the past six months it can be seen that we are getting it right.”

Joe and Marston’s are appealing for anyone interested to send in CVs for the pub’s recruitment drive.

Jobs will be available from March 15 for the grand reopening on the 20.

  1. Marstons. More of the same. Disappointing. Sell it on . Could have been a completely new and interesting venue.
