Wrenbury & District model railway club are holding their sixth Open Doors event on Friday July 5.
It will be held between 7pm to 9.30pm and also Saturday July 6, 9.30am to 4pm.
The free event will feature the club’s new 0 Gauge project ‘Wrenmere’ which has its first outing since construction started in May 2018.
Alongside the layout will be details of the 0 Gauge Guild, its activities and membership benefits.
Additionally, the club has 2 N gauge layouts under construction and a 00 layout recently extended using the NMRA BR modular standard.
There will also be visiting N, 009 and 00 layouts plus examples of G scale and Gauge 1 locos. Railway DVDs, books and rolling stock are on sale plus a limited number of free magazines.
The event is held in the Wrenbury Village Hall, Cholmondeley Road, where there is a small car park and wheelchair access.
Light refreshments are available, with a local pub the Cotton Arms a short distance away, offering a special lunch menu to visitors. Overnight camping is also available at the Cotton.

The day after on Sunday July 7 they will take a demonstration 00 layout to the first Wrenbury Festival of Transport being held on the Cotton Arms camping field, previously held for the last nine years at the Elephant in Shavington.

Visitors are always welcome to attend their Wednesday evenings meetings.
The club will also attend the Societies Spectacular event in Nantwich on July 20 and the Audlem Festival of Transport on July 28, where layouts will be operating.
