A 16-year-old girl from Merseyside has been arrested in connection with a serious assault at a house in Nantwich, police confirmed today.
She was questioned by officers and has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A 39-year-old man from Nantwich who had previously been arrested has been released on conditional bail.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident at a house on Blagg Avenue which left a 40-year-old man from Nantwich in hospital with serious head injuries.
It happened at around 7pm on Monday October 7.
Shortly after the incident, two men and a woman were seen leaving the address.
They walked along Blagg Avenue in the direction of Meeanee Drive.
Other inquiries in relation the incident are ongoing and as part of their investigation detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the two men and the female walking away from the scene.
They also want to talk to anyone who believes they may know who any of them are, or have CCTV or dashcam footage of them.
Detective Inspector Claire Jesson said: “A man suffered serious head injuries as a result of this incident and we are determined to establish precisely what happened and who was responsible and then make them face the consequences of their actions.
“Enquiries are ongoing and as part of our investigation we are appealing for information and footage regarding two men and a female who were seen leaving the address shortly after the incident.
“If you saw them, believe you have CCTV or dashcam footage of them or may know who they are please get in touch.”
The 40-year-old man’s condition in hospital is currently described as stable.
