Nantwich Town retained their play-off league spot after a battling 0-0 draw away at third-placed Lancaster City.
The Dabbers are in fifth place in BetVictor Northern Premier Division – and will be ruing missed chances to secure victory.
The hosts started the stronger, with Greg Hall keeping out a strong Jack Armer shot just after Prince Haywood cleared danger from the visitors’ box.
But Nantwich then began to exert their own play on the game, with Sean Cooke going close with a fine chip, and Joel Stair heading narrowly wide.
Joe Mwasile went close on two occasions before the break as Lancaster’s defence battled to keep Nantwich at bay.
Jamie Lawrie fired wide just before the break as Dabbers again went close to breaking the deadlock.
Norris forced a good save from Hall in the Dabbers net, but it was Nantwich making most of the running in the second period.
Mwasile caused Lancaster’s defence problems with his pace on the break, and on 67 minutes they almost took the lead when Cooke’s free-kick crashed off the bar.
Callum Saunders came on in the final 20 minutes and he almost set up the winner.
He flicked on a header and found David Webb who blasted a shot just inches over the bar.
The draw leaves Nantwich on 48 points from 27 games, nine points behind leaders South Shields but with two games in hand.
