Police are continuing to appeal for help to trace a driver who hit a pedestrian and drove off on London Road in Nantwich.
The 61-year-old victim is receiving treatment at Royal Stoke Hospital for a number of serious injuries.
The incident happened on Friday (September 8) at around 9.10pm close to the Leopard pub and junction with Jackson Avenue.
The road was closed for a number of hours between Hospital Street roundabout and Elwood Way, close to Cheerbrook.
Sergeant Darren Owen, of the Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit said: “From our initial enquiries we know that a number of motorists stopped at the scene following the incident and I would urge them to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any dashcam or video footage which may aid the investigation.”

someone will have suspicions, dented car, etc it must have been travelling some, are there no cctv footage in the area? at that time of night people were about, maybe further on or before the scene or near the railway crossing as that is a speedway at night most nights, the culprit will be found cowards cannot hide, hope the injured guy recovers soon
