Nantwich beat officers are staging a “Week of Speed” road safety campaign in and around the town.
Officers are carrying out speed enforcement across the area, targeting a number of roads.
They say it is in response to many concerns raised by Nantwich residents.
Sgt Ian Bennett, of the Crewe Local Policing Unit (LPU), said: “Speeding and traffic issues are a main priority for residents across the area.
“Officers are being deployed using the latest speed enforcement equipment.
“It is not just about catching offenders but getting officers out there, to make it clear that it is an issue we take very seriously.
“Safety on Cheshire roads is our primary concern.”

Primary concern !!!
But with multiple complaints to cheshire police officers over Jazz Fest Weekend in regards to private hire and TAXIS from out of town picking up passengers in Nantwich was completely ok even though they voided there insurance by picking up illegally thus putting the lives of the passengers at risk.
This was such a failure by our local police which lead to a Taxi driver having to confront another driver where he assaulted the driver from out of town on Nantwich bus station. So safety on our roads went at the fore front of there mins 1 week ago
