A series of transfers are planned as part of Cheshire East’s local service project, and Audlem Parish Council is one of the first to officially take control of a village service, opening up a toilet block to the public.

M6 Cheshire closure after lorry crash causes chaos

A lorry which jack-knifed across both carriageways of the M6 in Cheshire, crashing into several cars, caused traffic chaos for thousands of motorists today. Five cars were caught up in the accident between junctions 21 and 21A which led to closures on the M62 westbound to the M6 southbound, on the M62 eastbound to the M6 southbound, and the M6 at Croft Interchange.
