One of South Cheshire’s most cherished country fairs is back this weekend as Marbury Merry Days returns for its 45th year.

The two-day fair, which takes place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May, is set in a picturesque field in Marbury, near Wrenbury, with a host of entertainment for all ages.

Plans have been submitted for a 66-bed care home on the new Kingsbourne estate in Nantwich.

The application from LNT Care Developments comes after outline permission was granted 10 years ago for the Kingsbourne development which included up to 1,100 homes, land for business use, a primary school, community facilities, and local centre.
