Sunflowers at St Anne’s Day Nursery on Wellington Road, overseen by the governing body of St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, has applied for permission for a modular building to provide extra capacity.

The Environment Agency “are confident” they know which farm caused a large slurry pollution of the River Weaver in Nantwich, according to a Defra letter.

The EA has been probing the most recent case in late August which left potentially thousands of fish washed up dead along the river edge in Nantwich.

Plans to open Greggs and Burger King fast food outlets at a Nantwich petrol station have been approved, despite more than 20 objections being lodged.
