The park is used by thousands of people across Crewe and Nantwich, but a number of birds have been found dead in recent days.

A Nantwich swimmer has raised £380 for the Wishing Well charity after completing a challenge to swim the equivalent length of the English Channel.

Ethan Carroll, 23, who is on the autistic spectrum, took on the marathon challenge during his weekly sessions at Crewe Lifestyle Centre with Seahorse Swimming Club.
