Cheshire Police recorded the fourth largest drop in recorded crime across England and Wales, latest figures suggest.

Crime statistics released by the Office of National Statistics show for 12 months ending June 2015 there was an overall drop in crime of 4% – 2,245 fewer crimes.

South Cheshire friends cycle the 922-mile Rhine for Bloodwise charity

Saddle-sore cyclists Ben Reinhardt and Jim Forkin pedalled all 922 miles of the River Rhine to raise money for blood cancer charities.

The friends, from Willaston and Crewe, started their “Riding the River Rhine” adventure at the source of the Rhine in the Swiss Alps at Lake Toma.
