Nantwich has scooped the gold medal in the North West in Bloom 2011 awards. It means Nantwich will go forward to compete in the national awards in the town category early next year.

Hospital Trust stages service to celebrate lives of children
A remembrance service will be taking place in South Cheshire in November to celebrate the lives of children and babies. The annual service, organised by Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT), is to be held at St Peter’s Church in Minshull Vernon, near Nantwich, on Saturday November 26 at 3pm.

Two Nantwich brothers jailed for vicious attack on Crewe victim
Two brothers who attacked a man while on a night out in Nantwich are now behind bars. The new online questionnaire will allow parents to give their views on their child’s school at any time of the year. A village near Nantwich has taken on the very first transfer of services from Cheshire East Council. More than 100 people watched the Wistaston Singers choir perform a concert at St Mary’s Church in the village. Phil Houghton was musical director and also introduced each song and soloist during the event watched by 120 people on Saturday night (October 15).
Family tribute to South Cheshire man killed in bike crash
