A Nantwich primary school is to let its facilities out to public groups to help boost school funds. Millfields Primary School and Nursery, on Marsh Lane, is to offer its school hall, dining hall, classrooms and playing fields and playgrounds for hire.
By Jonathan White The annual Reaseheath Apple Festival has been attracting hundreds of visitors to the Nantwich college. This weekend was the 21st holding of the festival and featured scores of types of our favourite fruit.
A senior civil servant brushed up on his industry skills during a fact-finding tour of Reaseheath College in Nantwich. David Russell, director of “Closing the Gap” in the Department for Education, visited Reaseheath because of its reputation for skills development and engagement with industry.
Reaseheath College has been given the thumbs up by Ofsted inspectors over how it cares for younger students on campus. An Ofsted report into the Nantwich college gave it the highest accolade for support, development and care of 16-18 year old residential students.
The annual Blitz Fireworks display and family fun evening at Highfields School in Nantwich takes place on Friday October 4. As well as the fireworks display, there will be a BBQ provided by Grants Butchers, refreshments, games and stalls.
