Cheshire East Council chiefs have approved “one of the most ambitious” plans in the country centred on making Cheshire East carbon neutral by 2025.
The authority’s cabinet approved an environment strategy to respond to the ‘global threat’ posed by climate change at its virtual meeting yesterday (May 5).
Police have investigated 617 reports of lockdown “breaches” across Crewe and Nantwich, it emerged today.
And Chief Insp Simon Newell, head of the Crewe LPU which covers Nantwich, revealed 33 fixed penalty fines had been issued in that time.
Household waste and recycling centres in Cheshire East will reopen on Monday May 11, the authority said today.
But residents are warned there will be restrictions and traffic management in place.
