High winds are affecting road users across South Cheshire, with fallen trees and debris causing chaos. The main A530 Shrewbridge Road has been closed off both ways due to a fallen tree at Coole Lane, just south of Nantwich.
The family of a man killed in a road traffic collision in Nantwich have paid tribute to him. Michael Betts (pictured), 74, was involved in an accident on Middlewich Road, close to Alvaston Hall Hotel, early on Saturday morning (December 17).
