Staff and residents at St Catherine’s care home in Nantwich have a new Jubilympics garden – thanks to a team of bankers. The Barony Road home welcomed Royal Bank of Scotland’s corporate banking team who created the feature in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Olympic Games.
Firefighters spent hours battling a fire in the roofspace of a Nantwich home. Crews from Nantwich, Audlem and Crewe were called to the incident involving a semi-detached property on Whitchurch Road in Nantwich just after 8.30am today (November 22).
Drivers are being warned of long delays after a lorry accident on the A500/A51 roundabout near Reaseheath College, Nantwich. The incident is ongoing and police and highways officers have closed off the roundabout in all directions as well as Barony Road into Nantwich. A police spokeswoman confirmed the lorry overturned and crashed into a lamp-post before spilling its load of grit across the carriageway.
