Cheshire Police have been cracking down on truck drivers ignoring safety when using motorways and busy trunk roads. Officers stopped dozens of lorry drivers for not wearing seatbelts, using a mobile phone and eating or drinking at the wheel.
Teenagers in Crewe and Nantwich are being told to speak out if they are aware of an abusive relationship. They may not necessarily be the victim or the perpetrator but may know someone who is, say Cheshire Police.
Two men, including one from Nantwich, are to be charged with the murder of John Iveson, Cheshire Police revealed. Mr Iveson (pictured) disappeared from his home town Nantwich in January 2007, aged 36, and has never been seen since.

The force’s eForensics department includes the Hi-Tech Crime Unit, which helped to bring two men to justice in the county for using Facebook to incite violence during the recent wave of rioting.
