Nantwich Choral Society is staging a joint anniversary concert with Ensemble Arpège de Mâcon at St Mary’s Parish Church on July 15 after visiting the French town to stage a sell-out concert in May.
Nantwich Choral Society is celebrating the 60th anniversary of special twinning links between Crewe and Nantwich and Macon in France. Nantwich Choral Society has unveiled a programme featuring some of the country’s best-known classical performers.
Rehearsals are in full swing for an early Easter concert including big name singers and the Northern Concordia Orchestra at Nantwich Civic Hall on March 26.
Singers from around the UK joined Nantwich Choral Society for a one-off ‘Come and Sing Handel’s Messiah’ concert at St Mary’s Church.
The extras swelled the choir to 201 people, who were split into sections within the church’s Nave by tenor, soprano, contralto, and bass.
Rehearsals are in full swing for a special Easter performance by Nantwich Choral Society.
The 100-strong society will present JS Bach’s St John Passion in St Mary’s Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 19.
Nantwich Choral Society will be performing Judas Maccabeus at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich next month.
The event will take place on Saturday March 21, at 7.30pm.
Nantwich Choral Society’s popular Family Christmas Concert will be held on Saturday December 20.
The event will feature Nantwich Young Voices and include a mix traditional carols and modern pieces.
