Back in July 2021, the first Children’s and Families Committee, was asked to invoke the Urgent Decision Procedure to expedite the remodelling of the CE Dean Row building as a satellite expansion site for Springfield Special School at a cost of £3 million.

Springfield School caters for children and young people, between the ages of four and 19, who have autism, severe learning difficulties and complex needs.

Springfield School in Crewe, which has been rated “outstanding” in its last four Ofsted inspections, is set to increase its pupil numbers from 170 to 250 in September of next year.
