Nantwich Concert Band launches two new music groups

Nantwich Concert Band (NCB) has launched two new music groups for young musicians, starting this May.

NCB regularly hosts concerts in local venues, performing in the town square and providing entertainment at events such as Nantwich Food Festival.

Nantwich Concert Band in harmony at new Highfields home

Nantwich Concert Band has moved to a new home in the town after striking a chord with players from across South Cheshire.

The growing group is now staging weekly Wednesday rehearsals in the school hall at Highfields Academy, Cumberland Avenue, after out-growing its old base at Brookfield Hall, Shrewbridge Road.

Pupils from primary schools across Nantwich and nearby villages were kept entertained during half term at Highfields Academy, Cumberland Avenue.

Highfields Academy in Nantwich hosted their second annual Chinese New Year Fireworks event at their school on Cumberland Avenue.

A line of firecrackers was lit prior to the fireworks to “ward off evil spirits”.
