Double yellow lines look set to be introduced along Western Avenue after a series of complaints about parking on the Nantwich street.

The councillor in charge of Cheshire East’s roads insists their approach to repairing potholes is “the right way forward”.
Cllr Don Stockton believes engineers should be sent out to conduct structural repairs in a preventative way, rather than repair potholes as and when they need filling.
Cheshire East Council road chiefs say there has been a “sharp decline” in compensation claims for pothole damage – and that 95% of claims are rejected.
They also believe the decline is due to the authority’s “co-ordinated and robust evidence-based approach to prevention, as well as repairs”.
Highways chiefs in Cheshire East have almost doubled the number of pothole repair teams in a bid to tackle the rapid rise in road defects.
Drivers are faced with hundreds of potholes on many journeys around Crewe and Nantwich, with major roads also badly affected.
Angry residents have called on action from Cheshire East highways to fix the growing tide of potholes plaguing the streets of Nantwich.
Highways bosses claim the weather conditions have caused the “increase in the number of potholes” this winter.
