Drug users in Nantwich are being warned after three deaths in Cheshire East linked to the Ecstasy-like drug PMA. Cheshire East Council and Cheshire Police issued the alarm after the drug was linked to the deaths of two women and a man in their 30s.
Signs are being erected in all Nantwich play areas in a bid to discourage people from smoking. They will promote a new voluntary “Play Smokefree” code in all Cheshire East Council run playgrounds.
Youth groups in Nantwich can cash in on a £2,000 pot from Cheshire East Council. The money is set aside to help youngsters create, promote and deliver their own events at an arts festival.
