Cheshire East leaders’ letter to Prime Minister over HS2 decision

Cheshire East’s leaders have written to the Prime Minister over the speculation surrounding the future of HS2 and called for an urgent meeting before any decision is taken.

The government has so far refused to confirm or deny speculation that the route north of Birmingham is to be scrapped as the cost spirals.

Council bosses have defended Nantwich headteachers for issuing a warning letter to parents about children playing 18-rated computer games.

The letter, sent by Nantwich Education Partnership, tells parents that they could be reported to police or social services if pupils reveal they are allowed to play adult-rated games.
