Popular Nantwich High Street shop M&Co is facing closure after the company went into administration.
The store has been a High Street landmark for several decades and it’s reported staff were only told of the closure on Friday.
M&Co’s store in Nantwich is one of more than 200 to be saved following a financial restructure aimed at preserving more than 2,200 jobs.
The company, which has had a presence in the town for over 25 years, appointed administrators in April as the coronavirus outbreak forced the closure of most UK retailers for almost four months.
Staff at the M&Co store in Nantwich are to stage a charity fashion show in aid of Tenovus on September 20.
The event, which starts at 7pm at the High Street shop, will feature the retailer’s transitional 18 collections.
