Two goals from Michael Lennon (pictured) eased Nantwich Town through to the next round of the Cheshire Senior Cup with a 5-1 win at Northwich Villa. But it took the Dabbers until the second half to hit their stride after going behind to an early goal by Kwame Barnett at the Victoria Stadium.
Nantwich Town notched a second successive league victory with an impressive 3-1 win away at FC United of Manchester tonight (September 14). The Dabbers turned in an excellent performance in front of 1,350 supporters at Bury’s Gigg Lane, and crashed in three second half goals to seal all three points.
Goals from Michael Lennon and Ben Mills earned Nantwich Town their second home victory of the campaign, beating Whitby Town 2-0. The Dabbers dominated from the start, despite keeper Jonathan Brain being called on to make one or two crucial stops.
