Several motorists have reported the faulty lighting on the A500 on approach to junction 16 of the M6 as well as the B5078 off the same roundabout.
The busy A51 has been closed in both directions this afternoon after serious multi-vehicle accident.
It happened close to the Reaseheath roundabout around 2pm.

A developer has amended plans to build 151 homes on a site in Crewe after the application was deferred by the council’s strategic planning board.
David Wilson Homes and the Duchy of Lancaster are now asking for permission to build 149 homes on the greenfield site off Sydney Road.

Work continues on the new spine road and Reaseheath bypass, with construction underway to clear the River Weaver floodplain.
