Children and young people with educational needs in Crewe and Nantwich are to receive a £2.5 million funding boost as part of the Government’s Inclusive Mainstream Fund.
The money aims to give children a chance to attend their local school, early years and college and know they belong there.

A new primary school scheduled to open in Shavington in two years will be delayed by 12 months because a developer has gone into administration.

Cheshire East is to increase the mileage rate for families whose children qualify for free home-to-school travel in an attempt to slash nearly £450,000 off school transport costs.
The council offers personal travel budgets (PTB) to some parents whose children are eligible for free transport.
