St Luke’s Hospice has announced this year’s Midnight Walk will be the final one in the event’s 21-year history.

The walk – from Nantwich to Crewe and back – has raised more than £2.5 million over the past two decades.

St Luke’s Hospice in Cheshire has been rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its latest inspection.

The independent regulator assessed the hospice, which covers Nantwich area, across key areas including safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership.

Music lovers and comedy fans are invited to an evening of witty and wonderful storytelling at a “Let’s Do It!” classic comic song night comes to St Mary’s Church, Acton.

The charity fundraising event will take place on Saturday March 21st at 7pm at the Grade I listed church on Monks Lane with all proceeds supporting St Luke’s Hospice.

Pupils and staff from schools in Nantwich embraced the festive spirit by taking part in elf runs to raise vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice.

Children from Acton CE Academy, Calveley Primary Academy, Millfields Primary Academy in Nantwich, as well as at St John’s CE Academy in Sandbach and Oak View Academy in Winsford donned elf hats and festive outfits before taking part in sponsored runs.
