Villagers in Shavington have teamed up to show community spirit for their annual Community Remembrance Garden.
More than a 600 people have been involved in contributing to the garden outside St Mark’s Church, Shavington.
Fed-up road users in Wrenbury have launched a petition to get this busy pothole-ridden rural road re-surfaced.
It comes after residents believe Cheshire East Council had the funds to do the work on Station Road and Wrenbury Road last year – but then diverted the money elsewhere.

Residents in the village have pitched in by making these brilliant scarecrows and put them up on a trail for people to see on their daily exercise.

Volunteers for Wistaston in Bloom have blossomed this year after scooping the village’s first ever Gold Award at the ‘Britain in Bloom’ (North West) 2018 awards.
They received their certificate at a ceremony at the Southport Convention Centre on November 2.

Angry villagers in Wistaston have rallied in support of a pensioner after mindless vandals destroyed his popular garden gnomes display.
Laurence Perry’s gnomes, which became famous a year ago after a dispute with the local council, have proved a big hit with residents.
