Nantwich Town return to reality tonight after their FA Cup 1st round exploits at League One MK Dons.

The Dabbers are away at Northwich Villa in the Cheshire Senior Cup – put back a week so Nantwich could prepare for their FA Cup encounter.

Two recent loan signings, Ryan Brunt (left) and Brian Summerskill, may feature for Jimmy Quinn’s side as they look to return to winning ways after the humbling 6-0 defeat at StadiumMK.

Striker Brunt played a part for Nantwich in that game, and is a highly rated Stoke City academy graduate.

“He’s an exciting player who scores goals,” said Quinn.

“Stoke obviously have high hopes for him in the future, and hopefully he can gain some valuable experience here.”

Midfielder Summerskill was signed on loan from Altrincham, but began his playing days at Crewe Alex’s famed Academy.

“He’s a quality player who we tried to sign in the close season,” added Quinn.

“He is a very skilful player who will give us options.”

The initial loan period is for one month but Quinn said he would be prepared to extend this.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7.45pm at the Victoria Stadium.
