Talented singer AJ Brown will be performing in Nantwich this week as part of his UK tour.

The Yorkshire-born singer, hailed by some as the next Michael Buble, is touring to launch his new double CD “Now & Again”.

He will be playing at Nantwich Civic Hall this Friday September 27, one of just 10 dates in the UK and Ireland.

Accompanying AJ on his tour will be his regular trio, quartet and his 12 piece Signature Show Band featuring some of the most well-respected musicians on the jazz and big band scene.

AJ is described by RadioIndy.com as having a “dynamic voice [that] bursts with passion and soul”.

BBC Radio Two presenter Clare Teal says “AJ Brown a shiny new star – great voice, great guy – catch him while you can!”.

Respected jazz musician and bandleader Al Wood said AJ is “one of today’s most talented young singer/songwriters –
performs a programme of great songs ranging from popular standards to his own refreshing material. With his easy charm and captivating stage presence the show is sure to deliver a great evening’s entertainment”.

His new album has been put together to represent a reflection of two sides to AJ’s musical performance – ‘Now’ featuring AJ’s original songs and ‘Again’ re-workings of well known classics.

AJ also toured in summer 2012 and appeared as guest vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, taking part in two festivals celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

He has also performed in Atlanta and New York, South Africa at the Cape Town Big Band Festival and the Grahamstown Festival.
