Family confirm South Cheshire runner John Lawton’s body found

The body of missing South Cheshire runner John Lawton has been found on a mountainside, his family confirmed today. The discovery comes almost four months after John, from Alsager, disappeared while competing in the 35km Taygetos Challenge near Kalamata.

Man and dog to complete 100-mile challenge for Cheshire SAR

A man and his dog will be completing a gruelling 100-mile course around Cheshire to raise money for the county’s search and rescue team. Dominique Shrubb (pictured) has been training for six months for the challenge which will see him cycle 64 miles, run 26 miles and kayak 10 miles.
