Hardy athletes from South Cheshire Harriers took to the countryside near Nantwich for their annual New Year Social Run.
Thirty-four runners, and one dog called Jack, donned their running shoes and braved the chilly, dry Bank Holiday Monday weather.
The runners separated into groups relating to ability and set off in various directions from The Sandstone Pub and Restaurant at Broxton.
One group took on a seven-mile undulating run of the Sandstone Trail which included Raw Head, the highest point on the trail.
Many of the runners went into The Sandstone after their run for well earned refreshments.
