A terminally-ill four year old will celebrate her birthday with a dream Princess Party at Peckforton Castle, near Nantwich.
Tess Sullivan, whose party has been organised by her family at the castle on January 29, suffers from the rare Alexander Disease.
She is just one of 50 infants in the world to have the disease, a degenerative disorder affecting the central nervous system.
Due to the severity of the incurable condition, parents Helen and Steve Sullivan are uncertain how many birthdays Tess has left.
Normal life expectancy of the disease is between five and 10 years.
Tess had dreamed of a magical Princess birthday party as she turns five, and her parents mentioned this to family friend Ged Hawes.
His plea on Twitter to any castles in the North West willing to host this very special party as answered by the events team at Peckforton.
Mum Helen, 32, a teacher, said: “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the team at Peckforton Castle.
“It is the most stunning venue and the perfect place to hold a Princess party for our special girl.
“It continues to amaze us how kind and supportive people can be – even people who have never met Tess.
“The day is going to be magical and we are thrilled to be able to invite everyone who has helped Tess over the last few years to something so special to thank them and to give them a precious and lasting memory of Tess.”
Tess has had surgery to remove parts of her skull after she was diagnosed with pressure to the brain. She also visits a neurologist, who is an expert on Alexander disease, a geneticist and a neurosurgeon.
Peckforton is planning a relaunch party for February 16 as it celebrates completed renovations since last year’s devastating fire.
Celebrities like Coleen Rooney, Alex Curran, Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Coronation Street stars are rumoured to be attending.
