Reaseheath College’s student charity appeal has received a boost from Crewe company ABC Digital Solutions Ltd.
The company, which supplies the college’s photocopiers and printers, donated £500 to the Nantwich college’s RAG (Raising and Giving) fund.
Money raised by Reaseheath students and staff will go to the Oliver King Foundation – set up to raise awareness of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), which causes sudden death in healthy young people aged between 12 and 35 years.
ABC Digital’s sales director Peter Mabbutt said: “We were delighted to make a donation to Reaseheath’s RAG appeal, particularly as the money goes to such worthy causes.
“It has also been a good opportunity for us to celebrate our six year successful partnership with Reaseheath College.”
RAG fundraising has reached £6,500 and will continue to rise as money comes in from two challenges completed by staff.
One team tackled the UK’s highest peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon while another completed a triathlon by cycling 110 miles from Whitehaven to Whitley Bay, kayaking the length of Loch Ness and climbing Ben Nevis.
A final cheque will be handed over at Reaseheath’s Students Ball at the end of June.
